Are there different battery technologies?

Most battery systems consist of lithium or lead accumulators. Lithium accumulators are often used because they have a better efficiency, longer life cycles and a higher depth of discharge than lead accumulators. The dependant life-cycle price per stored kWh (Cent/kWh) of both variants is comparable.
